We stand against racism, against hate, and against police brutality.
Black lives matter. George Floyd should still be alive. Breonna Taylor should still be alive. Countless others should still be alive. We can, we must, and we will do more.
Data can and should be a clear, accurate, and transparent resource for solving racial inequalities and injustices. To do our part in making this a reality, we have decided to make the following commitments:
- We will listen to and support organizations that have already been fighting for racial equality and justice. We’ve started by donating to the Center for Policing Equity and Campaign Zero. We are also matching staff donations to organizations including Baltimore Action Legal Team, The Bail Project, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Reclaim the Block, Arch City Defenders, among others. We are committed to continuing to give and finding where our contributions can do the most good.
- We will find opportunities to offer our services pro bono to organizations that need it the most.
- We will acknowledge the fact that change begins within. We are committed to having open, honest, and transparent conversations with our staff moving forward. These conversations will lead to real changes.
