Insights from American Adults: Oscars 2024

We surveyed American adults on their views about this year’s Oscars:

• Oppenheimer is the clear favorite for best picture, with 21% saying it should win Best Picture. Barbie takes the second slot with 8% saying it should win.
• Roughly 1/5 of Americans plan to watch a portion of the Oscars this year.
• African Americans are the group most likely to watch the Oscars at 34%, with Hispanic Americans as the second most likely group at 26%.
